Dinosaurs Love Underpants

by Claire Freedman and Ben Cort

3618343Did it ever cross your mind why the dinosaurs are extinct? I bet you never thought that underpants could have been involved!

The dinosaurs, jealous of the new trend for the underpants the cavemen have introduced, fight each other for this new stylish piece of clothing. And who would have guessed it, the Mighty Pants War happens. It gets so crazy that by the time it’s over all the dinosaurs are wiped out.

The first thing that caught my eye was the cover of the book. I dare anyone to say that the title and the front page are not funny 🙂 And the book didn’t fail my expectations. It is written well and with humor, and, most importantly, there is a great and original story going on. And on top of it all, it’s written in rhyme which flows really easily.

The illustrations are not only funny but really bright and colorful. The book will be a fun read for any child but especially for the one that loves dinosaurs (or for a parent who is still into dinosaurs! *Kate pointing the finger at herself, thinking about the new dinosaur bath toys she bought for her daughter.). Different dinosaurs inhabit the book -Stegosaurus, Diplodocus, Triceratops, T-Rex, of course, and Styracosaurus, so it’s educational in a way as well.

The book is a part of series ‘Love Underpants’, other books of which are about aliens, monsters, pirates and Santa Claus. Be sure to check those out as well if you liked this book.

A fun read, definitely would recommend it!

Our favorite passage from the book:

‘The pants from Wooly Mammoth coats,

Made Stegosaurus itchy,

Diplodocus was really cross,

His pants were fat too titchy!’
